Nume is a beautiful villa set in the hills of Furore. We enjoyed the property immensely. The photos do not do the pool area justice, it is quite large, and we enjoyed cooling off daily. We were pleased to discover the pool is saltwater, not chlorine. There are many outdoor seating areas on this property, lots of spaces to explore.
The house has a very old world feel to it which is authentic and not at all cheesy. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are mostly modern. The master only has a tub with a sprayer head, but that was not a huge deal since every other bathroom has a full shower, including the extra bathroom off the dining room. The bed and bath linens are lovely.
Chef Gino is a wonderful cook, and his pasta dishes are excellent. Bolognese was the very best I've ever tasted ! Additionally his morning croissants and pastries are without comparison. The girls that staff the villa are also very kind and accommodating. We requested a birthday cake for my daughter and one was there when we arrived . It was the most delicious, light and fluffy lemon cake made by one of the girls' mothers. We will miss the staff!
The nice thing about this villa is that it includes a daily ride to and from the town of Amalfi, which is about 20 to 30 minutes away depending on traffic. From there you can take a ferry to Positano or Capri.
We would not recommend this property to anybody who has mobility issues as it is pretty steep terrain and a lot of stairs down to the Villa from the road. Additionally if you are the type that likes to explore restaurants this probably isn't the best choice for you, as there is an expectation that you'll be eating at least two meals a day there. We were traveling with 20 something girls and they just don't eat that much food. But the staff was happy to accommodate our wants and needs at all times.
Overall this was a fabulous 60th birthday trip for us, our daughters, and their friends! We loved it :).

Reviews
Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality. Antonella and Yulyia were incredible in catering to our every need. Our rooms were always perfect and they were happy and caring in everything they did for us. Peppe was a great chef, happy to help and let us change plans when we needed. Great cook! Maximiliane was kind and helpful and was such a gracious host. Big Thanks! - Niki S.
Just returned from a week at Villa Nume. WOW. What an experience. This ancient fortress turned luxury villa is gorgeous. It is situated in the town of Furore and the actual name of the villa is Divino Maniero. The bedrooms are all beautiful, and the pool is magnificent. You just can’t imagine the pristine views from every window. It truly is magical.
But what made our stay so much more enjoyable was the staff. Everyone is lovely and helpful. Housekeeping is on-site each day, the manager is available for any questions and groundkeepers keep everything beautifully appointed.
Vito, the chef, is outstanding. There is no set menu as Vito works with you each day to select dishes that are fresh and locally inspired. At 5pm each day, a tray of cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks appear all made with ingredients from the villa gardens. Candlelit dinners were enjoyed each night at different locations on the grounds. Vito gave our kids a pizza making class one night with the outdoor pizza oven. He is inventive, charming, kind and made our stay so memorable.
We were pleasantly surprised the find a market and a bar/restaurant across the street from the villa. And the villa provided a driver to take us to the town of Amalfi at no cost (there is a charge for distances beyond Amalfi). Once in Amalfi, you can ferry to so many locations (Capri, Positano, etc).
Check in with the staff about the local winery for tours. There is a beach at the fiordo that is accessible after a long walk of stairs (or a ride from the driver!). We hiked The Path of the Gods from Agerola to Positano and it truly is amazing!
We would definitely recommend this property, and we hope to be able to visit again one day! - Michele J.
